Bluebird in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking an experienced full-time Line Cook .

Bluebird

is an unapologetically French bistro. Food, wine, and cocktails in the classic Gallic style, combined with an old-world sense of hospitality and timeless decor, all come together to create Chapel Hill's little piece of Paris.

Chef Brandon Sharp has been at the stove since his college days at Carolina. Several decades, seven Michelin stars, and a short lifetime in California later, he is back in Chapel Hill with his family, at the helm of both Bluebird and Hawthorne & Wood.

The ideal candidate loves food and has a passion for hospitality. You are a great team player.

Compensation :

• $17-19 hourly
• $720 weekly take-home average

Schedule requirements :

• 40 hours weekly
• Must be able to work weekends

Language requirements :

English

Experience :

• 2 years of experience in a fine dining / upscale casual restaurant
• Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
• Knowledge of French cuisine is helpful but not required

Job scope :

• Menu recipe execution and proper plate presentation for immediate service to restaurant guests
• Ensuring the correct preparation of all menu dishes following guest requests, portion control, temperature guidelines, and company time standards
• All aspects of their cooking station including set up, prep, stocking, cleanliness, organization, sanitation, break down, and storage
• Working on a variety of kitchen equipment such as grill, fryer, broiler, oven, etc
