Léon 1909 (instagram.com/leon1909shelterisland/) is a countryside French & Italian restaurant located on beautiful Shelter Island in The Hamptons.

The ideal candidate has a guest-first mentality. You can take initiative and show leadership while at the same time being a great team player.

Position:

• Sommelier/Wine Steward

Compensation:

• $17hr tips
• $1300 weekly average off-season
• $1700-$2000 weekly average Summer
• Tips received in paycheck
• Paid Weekly
• Paid sick days

Schedule requirements:

• 40 hours weekly
• 5 days a week
• 3:00pm t0 11:00pm shift

Language requirements:

• English

Experience:

• 2 years of previous bar experience in a high-volume fine dining or upscale casual restaurant
• Knowledge of current bar trends
• Staff training & motivation
• Scheduling
• Managing less than 5 people
