Job Responsibilities

• Prepare, Set-up, and Operate multiple multi-axis CNC Mills up to 5-axis.
• Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet all design requirements for safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.
• Provide feedback to engineering/programming on toolpath optimization for unproven programs.
• Interpret and complete machining operations based on blueprints, drawings, setup-sheets, and/or verbal instructions.
• Able to work with complex, tight, tolerance parts and various materials.
• Meet expectations for productivity and throughput provided by direct supervisor.
• Communicate with shop leadership when production is inhibited.
• Assess inventory and reorder consumables/cutters via MCC Purchasing Department.
• Provide technical assistance and information to project personnel.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems - for example: machines, setup, tooling, and program issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as but not limited to, cleaning and lubricating.
• Inspect finished parts using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments, as required.
• Perform basic g-code programming directly on the CNC controller command prompt (conversational programming) as needed.
• Understand discrepancies on machined parts to make offset adjustments as needed.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) field is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of design techniques, engineering principles, mechanical processes
• Previous leadership experience preferably in a CNC Machining environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic understanding of GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerancing)
• Analytical, problem-solving skills and CAD skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Ability to be proactive and resolve problems independently through communication of team.
• Proven track record of growth and collaboration within an organization.

Preferred

• Knowledge of AS9100 standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
