Job Summary:

The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in managing the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting HR initiatives within the organization. The ideal candidate will bring 5-10 years of HR experience, particularly within the financial services sector, and possess a solid understanding of Workday and other HR systems. A SHRM certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee all phases of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
• Workday Implementation: Assist with the development, implementation, and optimization of Workday systems and processes to streamline HR operations.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Monitor changes in legislation and update policies and procedures accordingly.
• Employee Relations: Address employee concerns and conflicts, providing guidance and support to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Policy Development: Develop and update HR policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Training & Development: Support the design and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and foster professional growth.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR data. Generate reports and analyze metrics to inform decision-making.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other HR team members and departments to support organizational goals and enhance employee satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5-10 years of HR experience, with a strong preference for candidates coming from the financial services industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in Workday or similar HRIS systems.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Work Environment: Must be able to work in the office 4 days a week in our Midtown Manhattan location.
