Mission Veterinary Partners is Hiring a Regional Director Near Illinois, IL

Overview

Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP) is adding a Regional Director to be an

important member of our growing Operations Department. 

Job Summary: The Regional Director is focused on helping the hospitals achieve their operations, medical and culture related goals. The Regional Director works with the Hospital Director (and other hospital team members including the Medical Director and Practice Manager) to assess current hospital performance, recommend improvement opportunities, and create and support the execution of an annual hospital improvement plan. The Regional Director brings strong operations knowledge and significant medical awareness to the role and either directly supports or accesses from the regional functional excellence team the support needed within the hospital. The Regional Director is sensitive to the unique needs of each individual hospital and works with the Hospital Director to determine the appropriate level of ongoing contact and intervention. The Regional Director supports the implementation of corporate initiatives with the hospital by working closely with the Hospital Director and Practice Manager/Medical Director. The Regional Director coordinates requests for services from the hospital with key functional groups within the region and provides concierge like services based on specific hospital needs. The Regional Director is a member of the regional team reporting to a Regional Vice President and shares best practices with, and actively supports, his/her Regional Director peers and matrixed functional team members. The Regional Director works effectively with regional team members and with team members at each hospital they support demonstrating a servant leader philosophy. It is expected that the Regional Director will oversee 10 – 20 hospitals, depending on geographic density and tenure of clinics (defined as years within the MVP organization) within a region.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Maintains and upholds Core Values, Vision and Mission of MVP.
  • Provides support to 10-20 hospitals, working closely with each Hospital Director; able to represent the full breadth of MVP capability in helping the hospital perform.
  • Effective at diagnosing strengths and areas for improvement within the hospital; matches hospital needs with specific MVP resources and support.
  • Demonstrates a sensitivity to the unique needs of each hospital, providing support that is seen of significant value.
  • Position has full supervisory responsibility for supporting recruitment and hiring, promoting, retention, performance development, performance management, salary adjustments, teammate relations, and disciplinary actions for Hospital Directors.
  • Acts a concierge and liaison with the Regional Vice President and functional team members to ensure the clinic has the resources it needs to achieve its goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates a servant leader philosophy by being engaged, listening to others, breaking down performance barriers, creating a motivating team-oriented environment, providing open communication, being approachable and modeling MVP best practices.
  • Participates in monthly business reviews with the Regional Vice President to discuss hospital performance.
  • Partners with hospital leadership teams to positively impact engagement, ensure a culture of feedback and accountability, and ensure medical excellence within assigned practices.
  • Ensures coaching and development of Hospital Directors in the region per MVP talent management and succession process (i.e., annual development plans, constant feedback, and coaching).
  • Responsible for ensuring the regional implementation of and adherence to MVP initiatives in collaboration with corporate support teams.
  • Responsible for reviewing NPS and eNPS feedback and assisting hospitals where needed with improvement plans.
  • Works with hospital leadership to anticipate recruiting needs and partners with the Talent Acquisition department to ensure a talent pipeline.
  • Reviews scheduling efficiency with managers to adapt to the needs of the business.
  • Reviews facility, equipment, and inventory needs and discusses with hospital leadership at weekly or biweekly intervals.
  • Collaborates with leadership within assigned hospitals to share best practices for increased revenue and cost controls.
  • Responsible for supporting succession planning of medical and operational leadership is occurring at the hospital level.
  • Available to assist hospitals, serving as a link between hospitals and the Regional Vice President.
  • Provides key information from weekly CEO updates and other distributed company-wide MVP information to hospital team members
  • Supports leadership development among Hospital Directors, Practice Managers, Medical Directors and other key hospital personnel.
  • Supports hospitals with compliance, with MVP pricing, and inventory control initiatives. Regional Director works with the Hospital Director to implement corrections.
  • Responsible for confirming all MVP communications are passed down and understood by Hospital Director.
  • Assist integrations with onboarding new clinics when needed.
  • Shares best practices with other Regional Directors.

Qualifications

Talents you’ll bring to MVP:

  • 2-5 years in Veterinary or Human Healthcare multi-unit management preferred.
  • A strong grasp of medical and operations issues related to veterinary practices.
  • Superior customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Moderate proficiency Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word and Excel) and Teams.
  • Proven ability to get things done in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to develop strong and supportive working relationships with a wide variety of people and backgrounds.
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills; ability to present concisely and with detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • General understanding of business financials, analysis, strategic planning, P&Ls, pricing, contract negotiations, revenues, and payroll.
  • Well-rounded understanding of hospital operations, medical needs, and MVP resources.
