The Portfolio Manager will take an active role, working with the Senior Portfolio Manager, in managing investment grade fixed income portfolios. The Portfolio Manager will back up the Senior Portfolio Manager, as needed, and may assist in implementing policies and programs approved by management and the investment committee. In addition, the Portfolio Manager will work with the team on other projects as directed.

Essential Functions for this role include:

• Actively participate in portfolio investment strategy formulation
• Fill in for Senior Portfolio Manager at meetings and presentations as needed
• Trade various types of bonds including Treasury, Corporate, Mortgage-Related, and Asset-Backed securities
• Conduct research on fixed income securities and make trade recommendations
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on portfolios
• Interact with brokers, custodian, and internal partners on trading-related matters
• Prepare periodic portfolio reports
• Ensure compliance with investment guidelines
• Communicate strategy, positioning, and performance to senior management on a regular basis

If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:

• MBA/MA or equivalent experience

• 3 years of experience conducting investment research, fixed income trading, and fixed income portfolio management for an investment management organization or similar financial institution.

• CFA charter strongly preferred
• Highly proficient using Excel and Bloomberg
• Knowledge of fixed income markets and related securities
• Experience with one or more fixed income analytics systems (BondEdge, Yieldbook, Point, PORT, etc.)
• Analytical skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to handle pressure and meet short deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly proficient using Excel and Bloomberg
