Swanton Elementary School is looking to fill a Behavior Consultant opening beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. This position will work within a behavior support team to consult with teachers and behavior staff with student support. Qualified candidates must be collaborative team members and have a passion for supporting the growth and development of children and staff. Candidates must be able to manage a caseload of students with targeted and intensive behavior needs as well as have experience coaching and consulting with classroom teachers and school staff on universal, targeted, and intensive level of behavior support.The Behavior Consultant serves as a liaison between students, families, faculty and community providers.
This position has a particular focus on building capacity to meet the social, emotional and behavioral needs of students at the universal, targeted and intensive level. Performs a variety of tasks to aid in the coordination of behavioral support services for students and to increase the efficacy of preventive and proactive interventions.Individuals should possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field.
