Description: This position provides for quality early childhood learning experiences. Position will provide, plan for, implement and integrate child development activities for assigned children in such a manner that contributes to their growth and development in accordance with best practices for serving infants/toddlers and Head Start Performance Standards.
Location: Birmingham, Alabama Requirements:

• A minimum educational requirement of Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related area that includes a minimum of six (6) classes focusing on infant/toddler development.
• Two years of experience in preschool classroom with ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all children including at-risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.
• Oral and written communication skills which facilitate and support positive feedback from parents and between staff at all operational levels. Ability to relate to clients from diverse populations.
• Strong computer skills to include: spreadsheets, databases, presentation and word processing.
• Employment contingent upon the results of the following:
• Successfully passing the Criminal History Registry
• Initial physical examination
• Negative TB screen
