Mississippi State University is Hiring an Assistant Ticket Manager (Athletics) Near Starkville, MS
Position FunctionResponsible for assisting the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations with planning, organizing and controlling the operations of the Ticket Office; also assist in the management and administration of all ticket office staff and event operations. Salary Grade: 13 Please see Staff Compensation Structure for salary ranges. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assist with all facets of the daily operations of the Ticket Office, ensuring compliance with the University, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations.
Assist with the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion, and enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution.
Assist with reviewing ticketing needs and procedures with venue users; prepare events for system sales and conduct final event sales audits.
Monitor and maintain integrity of cash-handling and fiscal procedures.
Provide detailed sales and financial reports on a timely basis; maintains all ticket office records.
Assist with the development of policies and procedures with those in the organization to ensure efficient and safe operations of the unit.
Perform related duties as assigned.
This position has supervisory responsibility for Ticket Representatives, Fellows, and Student Workers as assigned. Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field with two (2) years of experience working in a Ticket Office. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ability to communicate with various constituents: general public, students, coaches, administrators.
Strong work ethic.
Outstanding interpersonal and interactive skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Exceptional planning, organizational, time management and critical thinking skills.
Ability to travel with occasional overnight stay.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Ability to work long hours.
Frequent externally imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
Job occasionally requires standing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and
lifting up to 25 pounds.
