Mississippi State University is Hiring a Transit Dispatcher Near Starkville, MS
Salary Grade: 11
Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Schedules drivers for all transit activity, including fixed routes, paratransit, and events.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for drivers on a daily basis for schedule changes.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for paratransit scheduling and driver dispatching.
- Collects pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection forms and inputs any maintenance and repair needs into AIM.
- Maintains up-to-date driver files.
- Assists the Transit Manager and other staff in other duties and tasks.
- Assists in maintaining up-to-date maintenance files on all transit vehicles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions And Physical EffortPrimarily an office environment
This position is an afternoon/ evening shift
Weekend work is also required on a regular basis
