Description of Primary Duties

1. With the team of three Involvement Ambassadors, arrange one-on-one advising meetings with organization presidents to go over OSE requirements, mission/vision of the organization and its events, etc.
2. Assist in planning and implementation of BearLink's co-curricular involvement features
3. Responsible for reviewing individual experience submissions in BearLink, approving and denying as necessary
4. Meet with current and prospective students to discuss ways to get involved on our campus
5. Review pre-meeting questionnaires that will guide one-on-one conversations with student leaders
6. Give involvement presentations on behalf of the Office of Student Engagement
7. Meet regularly with full-time staff and the Co-Curricular Involvement team
8. Support the Co-Curricular Involvement team's educational programming through activity facilitation and logistical planning
9. Perform other duties and functions for the Co-Curricular Involvement team as assigned. This may include general office needs such as answering phone calls, answering walk-in questions, general typing/filing, etc.
Required Qualifications

Applicants must be enrolled at Missouri State University. The ambassador must maintain good academic standing (at least 2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale), good disciplinary standing, and be a full-time student, enrolled in at least 12 credit hours. The position requires a 10 hours/week commitment.

Additional Qualifications

Involvement in at least two student organizations is preferred, but can be flexible. Ambassadors should have a positive attitude, be flexible, organized, and dedicated. The ambassadors team will serve as 'the faces' of student involvement, so applicants should be comfortable in front of the camera for any future social media campaigns. This person will need to be an excellent listener, but confident to make decisions on their own. This position will start in Fall 2024.
