The Accounting Manager with MisterO1 will primarily assist in month-end close procedures and duties. The primary job responsibilities include preparing and entering journal entries for month-end closing, preparing and monitoring monthly account reconciliations with explanations for any significant changes in account balances, and preparing various financial reports.

Reporting to the CFO- the Accounting Manager will develop and produce routine summary financial reports required to monitor the financial health of restaurant operations and the company. In addition, this role will maintain excellent relationships with managers, employees, guests and clients as well as other departments within the operation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for closing restaurants within timelines set by the CFO
• Manages period end close process to ensure store level financials are accurate and complete
• Month end duties, such as utility accruals, change in inventory, Uber Reconciliation, Toast Daily Sales Posting.
• Issues period end reporting to operations teams and acts as main resource for P&L questions.
• Collaborates with other internal groups (Operations ) to improve processes and streamline information flow.
• Ensure all processes are compliant and incorporate improvements and efficiencies as necessary.
• Manage vendor payments, collections of receivables and other franchising items.
• Perform and/or review reconciliations for gift cards, credit cards, and due from/to other franchisees and corporate stores.
• Assists with external audit requests.
• No direct reports but partners with the CFO to manage workflow with external accounting team.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum of 3-4 years general accounting experience
• Restaurant or similar retail industry experience strongly preferred
• Proficient in QuickBooks online, Inventory System and Procurement & Payroll system
• Must have excellent leadership, organizational, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• A natural curiosity that leads to quick understanding of new subjects.
• Must be able to multitask in a demanding, high volume environment under limited supervision.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and in clear English.

Knowledge and Skills

• An understanding of GAAP
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Intermediate to Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Must be a team player
• Professional and well organized
