Overview

The Commercial Construction Project Manager performs or has the oversight of many of the duties and tasks that must be accomplished in the estimation, construction, renovation, or restructuring of a property. The Project Manager must be organized and able to delegate tasks and responsibilities to sub-contractors and employees. Project Manager must have a deep understanding of each phase of the construction process. Project Manager must possess the ability to communicate with architects, clients, vendors, and employees. This position requires extensive experience in all areas of construction. The Project Manager must be able to manage sub-contractors and staff on multiple project sites. The Project Manager must report progress of projects to executive team. 

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage staff, contractors and schedules for construction projects.
• Prepare documentation such as scope of work, contracts, purchase orders, reports and budgets. 
• Oversee budgets, including tracking metrics and updating equipment logs. 
• Lead meetings to ensure budget, user needs, and schedule are met.
• Directs team members at all levels of contract administration.
• Controls any number of projects at various stages of work. 
• Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site Supervisor, to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.
• Work with superintendents to plan, organize and direct activities pertaining to project.
• Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
• Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with customer. 
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• 3 years minimum commercial construction project management, 5 years preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
• Available for on-call, early morning or late hours handling project needs
• Full-Time position 40 hours per week (7AM-5PM)
• Travel to and from multiple job sites
• Valid Driver’s License
• Be able to pass a drug test
• Be able to pass background check

The employee is required to drive, sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
