COLLEGE WRITING @ MITCHELL
The College Writing curriculum consists of three courses: CW101 (Introduction to College Writing), CWP101 (Introduction to College Writing plus Lab) and CW102 (College Writing and Research). CW101/CWP101 and CW102 are required courses for all students. These courses teach students the writing, reading, thinking and research skills necessary for success in college as well as in the workplace.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•A master’s degree (or higher) in composition, writing, English, journalism, or the teaching of writing
•Experience teaching in higher education is preferred
•Experience working with students with learning differences is preferred
Fall 2024 DETAILS:
We are currently hiring adjunct professors for CW101 and CW102 sections that meet in person, on both Tuesdays and Fridays. The semester runs from 8/26 – 12/17. Classes are available at the 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m. time slots. Professors teach a prepared curriculum and an LMS (Moodle) template is provided. Excellent candidates may be offered one, two or three sections of CW101 or CW102.
