The Associate Tax Director is an integral part of the tax compliance group primarily responsible for domestic compliance and tax accounting for the Sports and Entertainment operations of a U.S. based multi-national company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns
• Review quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensions
• Liaise with finance and accounting personnel to collect and analyze financial information for assigned business operations
• Review interim and year-end tax provisions including current taxable income calculation and deferred tax rollforward
• Provide tax support to other corporate and operating groups
• Assist with responses to tax authority inquiries
• Supervise staff and/or consultants tasked with the preparation of assigned entity tax returns and projects
• Assist with various tax projects as assigned relating to tax audits and tax planning

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 7 years of domestic income tax compliance experience
• Understanding of tax accounting concepts
• Strong understanding of domestic corporate and partnership income tax principles
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced work environment
• Proficiency in Excel for pivot tables and logical formulas
• Strong technical research skills
• Ability to go through large amounts of data
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as a part of a team
• Self-starter with strong organizational and interpersonal skill

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT REQUIRED

• MBT and/or CPA
• Public accounting experience in a nationally recognized firm
• Experience with Corptax, Alteryx, and Workday
