JOB SUMMARY:
The Finance Planning and Accounting Manager ensures compliance with IFRS, VW Accounting Handbook, and provides technical accounting guidance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain project accounting systems for accurate cost accounting and reporting per US GAAP and internal policies
- Monitor accounting standard bodies and assess impact of proposed/adopted standards
- Collaborate with Corporate Accounting for technical matters, quarterly updates, reports, and filings
- Support finance and treasury teams with accounting practices and cash flow tasks
- Oversee general accounting team for month and quarter-end close processes
- Research and apply appropriate accounting treatments for technical matters
- Provide U.S. GAAP expertise and implement new accounting pronouncements
- Participate in the audit process
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- 4 years in accounting and management
- Experience in private and public accounting a plus
- Strong accounting systems experience
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven leadership and ability to manage change in a growing environment
