Mitchell Talent Solutions is Hiring a Sales Director Near Knoxville, TN

Mitchell Talent Solutions has partnered with a leading ERP Preferred Partner specializing in providing comprehensive ERP solutions to small to mid-size businesses, primarily in the manufacturing industry, but a variety of industry opportunities are open for growth.

Position Overview:

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A PROVEN TRACK RECORD IN ERP SALES IN THE MANUFACTURING/DISTRIBUTION/SUPPLY CHAIN INDUSTRY.

As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base. You will lead a team of 3 sales professionals and will be responsible for hiring and onboarding an additional 3 salespeople who will report directly to you. Your strategic leadership will be instrumental in achieving sales targets (~2 million in sales margin as an individual, ~7 million as a team) and establishing long-term relationships with clients. Ideal candidate is preferred to be on-site in Knoxville, TN. Relocation bonus is offered after completion of first year of employment. If a candidate would prefer to work in a hybrid capacity, travel to Knoxville would be required for at least 1 week out of the month.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate the manufacturing market and achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3 sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and providing ongoing training and support.
  • Lead the hiring process for 3 additional salespeople, ensuring the recruitment of top talent that aligns with our company's values and goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and implementation teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with client needs and market trends.
  • Identify and prioritize target accounts and develop customized sales strategies to address their specific business challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the manufacturing industry, including C-level executives, IT directors, and operations managers.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our brand and establish thought leadership in the ERP space.
  • Total annual sales commission should be in the range of ~$150,000 in addition to annual salary.
  • THIS ROLE HAS A STRONG PATH TO OWNERSHIP EQUITY

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in the ERP or technology industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience selling ERP solutions or related services to small to mid-size businesses.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with client needs and market trends.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data and metrics to drive informed decision-making.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, manufacturing processes, and industry-specific challenges and opportunities.

  • A customer that you previously worked with will help separate great candidates from good candidates.
