POSITION SUMMARY:

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following agile software development lifecycle.
  • Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Improves operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks.
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Designs software systems that scale to thousands of users.
  • Produces maintainable, testable, extensible, clean, well-documented code according to system design.
  • Participates in new releases for existing software products.
  • Develop time estimates for development tasks.
  • Participate in code review.
  • Use revision control and bug tracking systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Self-motivated software developer with a strong desktop applications background and/or web and mobile application development experience.
  • B.S in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years hands-on programming experience required.
  • Experience writing code for both compiled and interpreted languages.
  • Familiarity with both object-oriented and scripting languages.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, able to multi-task, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with revision control systems, build systems, and working within a team environment.
  • Software packaging and deployment experience preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have web application development experience in (HTML5/CSS/JavaScript), desktop application experience is a plus (C/C /C#/Java)

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $60,000 and $82,500/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
