About The RoleThe Quality Control Technician's main objective is to help MLA dealers experience operational silence. This is done by ensuring our service parts meet OEM specifications and our inventory is accurate. This person will be inspecting Dealer Claims, Warranty Returns, Expedited and Surplus returns. The position will be responsible for quality control and will work with both internal departments and suppliers to correct any non-compliant parts. The role will also be responsible for the development of a new parts photography process.
What You Will Do
  • Dealer Returns & Claims - Actively inspect and process dealer Surplus and Express Returns and parts claims. This person will work closely with our Returns Administrator to ensure returns and claims are processed promptly.
  • Quality Control - Oversee service parts quality control, inspection, process documentation and lead team training for better controls. This role will work closely with internal departments and vendors to ensure parts are accurate and meet MLA criteria.
  • Part Photography - Develop and implement a service parts picture process. Photography will be utilized both internally for QC purposes and by our Dealer Network to ensure proper fit. Leads teams on projects within assigned areas of responsibilities.
  • Continuous Improvement - Seeks to always improve processes, safety, and leads teams on projects within assigned areas of responsibilities.

    What You Need To Have
    • Associate degree in a technical field or 0 - 2 years industry experience
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Working knowledge of Microsoft AX
    • Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner
    • Proficient communication skills, which include the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
    • Ability to safely lift 50lbs and stand 75% of the day
    What Would Be Nice To Have
    • Experience in a Lift Truck service parts or related industry such as Automotive, Earth Moving, Agriculture, etc.
    • Strong Microsoft AX skills for troubleshooting parts technical issues
    • Photography experience
