Position Overview: The Sr. Supplier Onboarding Specialist is responsible for overseeing the

seamless integration of new suppliers into the company's supply chain system. This role

involves coordinating with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure that all

systems, processes, and requirements are aligned for optimal performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Onboarding - 25%
    • Coordinate the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring they understand and comply with all company policies and requirements.
    • Organize and lead introductory meetings and training sessions with new suppliers to explain process flows, IT systems, and performance expectations.
  • Process Integration - 10%
    • Work closely with IT and procurement teams to integrate supplier data into company systems, ensuring accurate and efficient data management.
    • Develop and implement integration strategies that optimize the supply chain workflow and minimize disruptions.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance - 25%
    • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
    • Address and resolve any issues that arise during the integration process, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication - 30%
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers during the integration phase.
    • Regularly update internal stakeholders on supplier integration status and any challenges encountered.
  • Documentation and Reporting - 10%
    • Maintain detailed records of supplier integration processes, including timelines, issues, and outcomes.
    • Prepare reports on integration efforts, outcomes, and supplier performance metrics for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and supplier management.
  • Proficient in the use of supply chain management software and ERP systems.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with suppliers andteam members.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Working Conditions:

Sitting: Estimated 50% of work time is spent seated at a desk or in meetings, performing administrative tasks such as data entry, report writing, and planning.

Standing/Walking: Approximately 10% of work time involves standing or walking around the workplace, which may include inspections, supervising team activities, and engaging with stakeholders.

Lifting Requirements: The position requires lifting objects weighing up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis (5% of the time). This includes tasks such as loading and unloading supplies or moving boxes of products.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Engaging in activities that require climbing, stooping, or kneeling approximately 10% of the time, particularly for roles involving physical inspections or technical tasks.

Travel Requirements : This role requires 15% of travel time, which involves traveling to different sites, attending conferences, or engaging with clients and other external parties.

Work Environment: Office environment, occasional manufacturing environment when visiting suppliers. The noise level in the work environment can be categorized as “Low”.

Technology Use: Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Proficiency in communication softwares, supply chain management tools, and some printing machines is required.
