Our client is an International Bank based in Midtown Manhattan. They are looking for a Model Risk Specialist to join their Compliance team on a long-term contract opportunity (12 months). This will be a hybrid role with 3 days required in office each week. Mandarin is highly preferred.

Summary of position

Model risk consultant with focus on compliance model validation and ongoing monitoring. Work with other department to collect and review model performance KPIs/KRIs. Monitoring model performance to ensure the accuracy of model outcome. Prepare quarterly model risk management report. Address issues in related to model management.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Review and update model risk management policy and procedures.
• Prepare and review Model Validation Reports.
• Perform ongoing monitoring for compliance models.
• Work with other team members to address issues related to model risk management.
• Perform other tasks related to model risk management.

Requirements

• Master’s or higher education in finance, business or quantitative field.
• 3 years of experience in model risk management or related functions.
• Working experience with compliance model validation and ongoing monitoring.
• Experience with compliance models such as Actimize and FircoSoft.
• Experience working in large banks, managing data and/or change management process.
• Knowledge of banking laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel/VBA, SQL/Access and Power Point.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within group setting in a high stress environment.
• Certifications in Risk and Compliance, and/or BSA/AML are plus.
• Mandarin is a plus.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
