The basic function of the Assistant Project Manager is assist the Project Manager with organizing, planning, scheduling, and performing duties associated with the Construction Project. These duties shall comprise of pulling together all elements involved in documentation required by: (a) the contract documents, and (b) the general practices of contract and document control of MJ Harris.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Promptly issue Purchase Orders and Change Orders at the direction of Management to each subcontractor and vendor and confirm execution of same prior to releasing and starting the respective work
• Assist in the preparation of the Monthly Progress Billing upon receipt of the billing package, review in detail with Project Manager and confirm the accuracy of the information
• Ensure Requests For Information (R.F.I.) are complete and accurate
• Maintain an accurate Material Status Log and assure the project receives approved shop drawings and specified products as required to meet on-time completion of the project
• Ensure timely submission of Close-Out Documents to Owner

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience with an equivalent construction operation
• Working knowledge of Procore is required
• Able to multi-task and assist on multiple projects at one time
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
