Position Summary:

FW Logistics is an experienced logistic service provider that is big enough to handle supply chain logistics needs while still being small enough to give specialized service. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Facilities Technician. The person in this role will be responsible for providing light industrial facilities maintenance services. The Facilities Technician reports to the Facilities Supervisor.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform general repairs throughout the facility including custom work
• Operating equipment, such as scissor lift, forklifts
• Landscaping, snow removal and other seasonal responsibilities
• Ice chipping manually and with a machine ice chipper
• Wall and ceiling cleaning at plus 20 feet in the air
• Capable of working in hot and subzero temperatures
• Manually de-nature (breakdown) product
• General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition
• Be proactive by maintaining a clean work area that is free of hazards
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
• Ensure doors are locked after hours
• Perform minor repairs
• Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
• As directed by Facilities Supervisor, work with vendors as req
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to a self-starter, thinking through and taking on unfamiliar projects
• Ability to stop task, relocate all equipment and restart them to meet the needs of the company
• Ability to follow written and oral communication
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Clean driving record
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Work well when supervisors are not present
• Able to use the computer system to enter work orders for facilities maintenance upkeep

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 2 years facilities technician experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, distribution center or manufacturing environment.
• Trade school degree or certificate preferred.
