Role Summary:
This is a newly created position for this family-run general contractor as it continues to grow in excess of $500m. The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will work directly with the CFO and Corporate Controller in order to aide, and navigate expansion.
Role Responsibilities:
· Lead financial reporting functions including preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual combined and consolidated financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations for all business entities.
· Conduct internal audits and process reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting functions across various business units and joint ventures
· Provide financial analysis, planning, budgeting and forecasting to support strategic decision making and growth initiatives. Develop models and reports to track KPIs.
· Assist with accounting integrations for new acquisitions, mergers or joint venture formations including setup of accounts, chart of accounts, process and controls.
· Support treasury functions such as cash management, banking relationships and financial controls.
· Maintain knowledge of accounting and reporting standards and ensure compliance.
· Manage external audit process and act as liaison between auditors and operational teams.
· Assume Controller's responsibilities in their absence and assist with special projects as required.
Key Prerequisites:
> CPA or construction related accounting accreditation strongly preferred.
> Minimum 5 years accounting experience required.
> Construction experience, heavy civil preferred but not essential.
