Job Title: Operations Specialist II

Location: Fort Worth, TX (Onsite)

Duration: 12 months (possible extension or conversion)

Monday – Thursday Onsite; Friday work from home.

Job Description:

As part of the USVC Commercial Operations team, work closely with Business stakeholders to understand Analytics needs, create, support, or enhance Analytics products that align with Alcon’s Data and Analytics strategy and standards with specific focus on the USVC Commercial Operations Analytics and Sales Rep effectiveness end product.

Essential Job Functions

• Deliver visualization and data solution on Alcon’s analytics platform. Work with other parts of the USVC and Commercial Ops organization to build end-to-end implementation that includes data preparation, visualization, advanced and predictive analytics.

• Build Visualization solutions and perform self-service data preparation based on user requirements.

• Perform data modeling, data analysis and providing requirements to data engineering and systems engineering teams to build end-to-end solutions as required.

Standard Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

• Experience: Applicable experience in Data and Analytics

Language

The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.

Specific Job Posting Content

• Good understanding of traditional and latest data and analytics platforms architecture models.

• Good understanding and working knowledge with data management and governance solutions

• Experience developing reports using visualization tools. Tableau is preferred and exposure to other tools is a plus.

• Exposure to Big Data, and Analytics Technologies – Should have hands-on experience and expertise around majority of the skills below, if not all

 Experience in developing reports in Tableau.

 Experience in Visualization and Reporting Tools other like Salesforce Einstein Analytics, or QlikSense etc.

 Exposure to languages – Java, Python, & Scala

 Knowledge of Data Science tools & languages is a plus– R, Python, Zeppelin or Jupyter notebooks, etc.

 Exposure to AWS Services that include but not limited to Glue, EMR, S3, SNS, SQS, Athena, Redshift, Lamda, and Step functions

• Experience with performing data modeling, data analysis and providing insights using various tools.

• Experience in working as part of Agile teams and using agile and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence.

• Strong collaboration skills for effective communication across multiple teams and stakeholders, both internal and external

• Data savvy individual with hands on experience in preparing, analyzing and deriving insights from data
