ML Property Group is Hiring a Service Manager: Georgetowne Woods Near Gastonia, NC

Service Manager

Department: Maintenance

Status: Full-time

Reports to: Community Manager, Director of Maintenance

Work Schedule: Varies based on location

Travel: 0%

Supervises: Service Technician

Position Summary: Manage all service requests, preventative maintenance, and amenity area maintenance for the property. Collaborate with the Community Manager to achieve property goals and ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: High School Diploma required; college degree preferred. 3-5 years of apartment maintenance experience, with at least 1 year in a Service Manager role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair. Basic computer skills and experience with work order maintenance systems.
  • Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance. HVAC certification, CPO certification, EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal.

Expectations:

  • Perform community maintenance tasks including light bulb changes, filter changes, lock repairs, window covering installation, HVAC repairs, caulking, painting, pool maintenance, vinyl repair, electrical and plumbing repairs, flooring, roofing, and gutter maintenance.
  • Inspect and coordinate all make-ready repairs and services.
  • Ensure apartments and property are in safe and presentable condition.
  • Respond to on-call emergency service requests promptly.
  • Complete all service requests within 24 hours, unless extraordinary parts or labor are required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the maintenance shop.
  • Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
  • Comply with and enforce all MLPG policies.
  • Embrace and execute the vision, mission, and values of the Company.
