The Opportunity:

Our client, a Las Vegas based company that focuses on automation, autonomy, and analytics for business is currently seeking to hire a DevOps Engineer. From digitizing business processes to increasing transparency and efficiency in customer interactions to creating autonomous robotics, they aim to help businesses increase margins, reduce overhead, and increase employee and customer happiness, quality-of-life, and joy.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-driven, motivated individual with a strong background in product management and project oversight in code repositories. Experience with Salt Stack or Ansible, as well as GitHub project management for C , Rust, and Python languages, is a must. An in-depth understanding of wiki documentation and generated code documentation is also highly desirable.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading the migration from Ansible to Salt Stack, while ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions in operations.
• Overseeing and managing code repositories, with an emphasis on C , Rust, and Python projects.
• Utilize Salt Stack or Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of video processing and machine learning solutions into our client’s products.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including wiki documentation and generated code documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure the robustness, performance, and scalability of the software.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in DevOps practices and tools.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management or general project oversight in code repositories.
• Proven expertise in managing projects in GitHub, particularly for C , Rust, and Python languages.
• Strong background in Salt Stack or Ansible. Our client is currently using Ansible, but in the process of migrating to Salt Stack.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining wiki documentation and generated code documentation.
• Ability to lead and advise a team, with exceptional communication and collaboration skills, and a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Experience in transitioning between different operational tools (e.g., Ansible to Salt Stack) is a plus.
• Contributions to open-source projects in Dev Ops or related fields will be an added advantage.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
