Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Opportunity!

Location: Main Campus
Position Type: Full Time
Shifts: Varied

JOB SUMMARY:

Embark on a rewarding career as a Clinical Pharmacist at Pharmacy, where you will be pivotal in optimizing patient medication therapy. Working under the guidance of the Clinical Manager and Pharmacy Director, you'll provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services and collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve patient care goals. All nine patient care skills must be proficient, including knowledge of disease and drug therapy, non-drug therapy, laboratory and diagnostic testing, communication, patient monitoring, physical assessment, drug information, and therapeutic planning.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Education:

  • B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm D. or Master of Pharmacy

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Three years as a licensed pharmacist with enhanced clinical responsibilities

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Active registration as a licensed pharmacist in the state of Texas.
  • Sterile Compounding Certification.
  • ACLS or PALS
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) or specialty certification related to assigned duties.
  • Registration as a preceptor with TSBP.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in performing all medication consults, including total parenteral nutrition.
  • Ability to assist with pharmacy students and pharmacy practice residents.
  • Provide internal and external education.
  • Conduct medication/drug use evaluation.
  • Present data/reports at various committees.
  • Effectively direct and/or supervise personnel when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and decorum at all times.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
