MMC001 Marshall Medical Center is Hiring a Physical Therapist - Home Health Near Placerville, CA

Department: Home Health Shift: Primarily Days (United States of America) Type: Minimum Pay Range $43.13 - $53.73 Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Administers effective physical therapy evaluation and treatment per physician orders for patients in their homes and assists with the organization and teaching of educational programs to further staff development. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: Graduation from a school of Physical Therapy with a minimum of a B.S. or B.A. degree and successful completion of a clinical internship required. MA preferred Current CA Physical Therapist (PT) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required * Must meet all DMV requirements below and have adequate transportation Knowledge: One year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist preferred. Knowledge and understanding of physical therapy evaluation and treatment. Knowledge of infection control procedures and proper body mechanics. Skills: Ability to follow directions accurately and will establish effective relationships with patients and fellow employees. Ability to assume responsibility for updating skills as required by hospital policy. Ability to walk and stand for long periods and to stoop and mechanically operate wheelchair accessories repetitively throughout the day. Has the ability to position and transfer dependent patients in and out of bed without assistance. Willing to drive in inclement weather. *Note: Requires employees to drive at least once per pay period. Candidates must possess and supply proof of: a current CA Driver’s License, a clean DMV printout and Auto Insurance coverage with a minimum of $50,000 per person/$100,000 per occurrence (or a combined single limit of $100,000) and property damage coverage in an amount not less than $50,000 per occurrence.
