Essential Functions:
- Implement and maintain Quality and Environmental Management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards such as IATF16949 and ISO14001.
- Direct and plan the Internal Audit program, including the development of Internal Auditors.
- Develop policies and procedures specific to Quality Assurance and provide support and guidance to other functions.
- Participate in and advance Quality Planning activities, including Supplier Development.
- Oversee and manage activities in the Quality laboratory.
- Ensure the creation and submission of PPAP packages to gain customer approval.
- Oversee the maintenance of PFMEA's and Control plans for new and existing products.
- Supervise the creation and updating of Process books for the manufacturing floor.
- Manage Document and Records Control across all functions.
- Interface with customers for corrective and preventive actions related to plant, warranty, and service parts issues.
- Provide coaching and counseling for Corrective Actions and Improvement.
- Minimum five years' experience in Quality Management, preferably in the North American Automotive industry.
- Demonstrated experience in APQP, PFEMA, Process flow diagrams, and control plans.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, packaging, or equivalent experience.
- Background in plastics injection molding and assembly.
- Proven experience with setting up and implementing operator policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Lean systems training is a plus.
