Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Protection Attorney Position

Job Summary:
This is an ideal position for candidates with 3-5 years of hands-on, high-tech law firm experience in the cybersecurity and privacy protection arena, including both transactional and enforcement experience.
Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel clients on a variety of data, privacy, and cybersecurity policy matters.
• Handle data breach investigations, internal investigations, cyber-attacks, regulatory compliance, tech transactions, privacy policies, data theft, physical security, and ransomware attack negotiations.
• Familiarity in COPPA, BIPA, GLBA, CCPA, GDPR, CPRA, and other federal and state regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Superior academic and law firm credentials.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• CIPP/US certification preferred
• Admitted to Illinois bar.

Anticipated Compensation:

• The anticipated annual pay range for this position is $260,000 - $365,000, depending on geographic location, relevant experience, and skillset.
