ABut the Role:

The Client is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join a community hospital in Mayfield, KY, as the Director of Women's Services. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee and elevate all aspects of women’s health services, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient satisfaction in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Labor & Delivery, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide direction for the Women’s Services department, developing and implementing a strategic plan that emphasizes growth, quality improvement, and patient-centered care.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the department, ensuring efficient workflow and the highest level of care.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, develop, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Budget Management: Effectively manage the department’s budget and resources.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for women patients.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Marketing and Outreach: Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness of the hospital's women's health services.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate departmental success.
  • Hospital Representation: Represent the Women’s Services department in meetings and committees with hospital leadership.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay current with trends and best practices in women’s healthcare.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related healthcare field (preferred).
  • Current Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Certification in AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetrics, Neonatal Nurses) or equivalent (preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital setting, preferably in women’s health services.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage budgets.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in a community hospital setting.
  • Experience in strategic planning and business development.
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models.
  • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $63,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
