Location: Atlantic, IA, 50022
Assignment Start Date: 2/12/2024
13 weeks | Nights | 12-hour shift | 36 hours guaranteed weekly The Estimated Weekly Total is based on working the listed hours per week and includes available stipend amounts. Please get in touch with a recruiter for full details. The Obstetrics Registered Nurse assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered. Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions. Coordinates patient care activities, based on established priorities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning, and directs/delegates appropriately to members of the health care team. Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, significant others, and members of the health care team about the patient's plan of care. Participates in performance improvement, nursing quality, and nursing research activities and utilizes same in clinical practice. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for nursing practice and the delivery of safe, competent patient care.

Experience/Education/QualificationExperience:
- Labor and Delivery Nurse experience preferred
- Associates Degree in Nursing is required;
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- A valid Iowa Nursing license from a reciprocating state is required
- BLS/BCLS is required. ACLS preferred
- PALS, NRP, STABLE, & ACLS completed within 1 year of hire
