13 weeks| Days | 8-hour shift | 40 hours per week with 36 hours guaranteedThe Estimated Weekly Total is based on working the listed number of hours per week and includes available stipend amounts. Please get in touch with a recruiter for full details. We are looking for a CVOR nurse who will also float to the general OR when no CV cases are scheduled.
Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person.
• Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Meets Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

Experience/Education/QualificationExperience:

• Must have at least two years of operating room experience
• A minimum of one year CVOR RN is required
• Proficiency in scrubbing open heart and lung cases is required.

Licenses, Certifications, And/or Registration

• IL State Registered Nurse License is required
• BLS/BCLS is required
• ACLS is required

EMR System: EPIC knowledge/experience preferred
Shift: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, with calls required. They will start at 0700 when no heart on the schedule and start at 0600 when there is a CABG. The call is shared with one other CVOR nurse with a possible 50% split.
