Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Afternoons,11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 8
Shift Notes: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (8 Hour Mid Shift) Mon-Fri / No Call / Rotating Weekends/Holidays (40 Hour Guarantee)
Weekend Requirements: Rotating Weekends/Holidays
On-Call Requirements: No Call
COVID Requirement: n/aTraveler Policy: n/aDress Code: Hospital-Provided Scrubs
The SPD Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspection, and preparing the surgical instruments/equipment for sterilization. The SPD Technician maintains consistency and continuous workflow between the OR, Central Processing, and the facility as a whole while practicing above-average customer service. Performs duties as an SPD Technician independently works proficiently without supervision, and is qualified to train new employees. Works in conjunction with the Pharmacy to re-supply crash carts with IV fluids and medications. Serves as a resource to all CSSPD customers. Also responsible for cleaning, and issuing patient care equipment and supplies.
