Location: Republic, WA, 99166 Assignment Start Date: 5/15/2024 13 weeks | Days | 10-hour shift | 40 hours per week The Estimated Weekly Total is based on working the listed number of hours per week and includes available stipend amounts. Please contact a recruiter for full details.Technologists perform procedures and examinations in the radiology department under the direction of Inland Imaging radiologists and other medical providers to produce radiographic studies which are used in medical diagnosis to locate injuries, foreign bodies, pathological conditions, or lesions within the body. Follow District policies and procedures as well as federal and state regulations. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Review and evaluate x-ray information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
Operate or oversee the operation of radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Position and immobilize the patient on the examining table.
Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance, according to the specification of the examination
Rotates on-call duties as assigned by the department manager
Document all patient data, code, and bill patient data
Clean and adjust radiology equipment as needed
Perform related duties as assigned by management.
ExperienceEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Previous CT experience is required.
Education
Must be a Graduate from an Accredited Radiology Program
Licenses, Certifications, And/or Registration
Must be board-certified ARRT(R), or board eligible
Must be board-certified within 6 months of hire.
Certified by the State of Washington to practice and administer radiation.
Please note: If the employee works 40 hours they will be paid 40 hours. If they leave early or take a day off they will not be paid for time not worked.
