SUMMARY
A business analyst bridges the gap between business departments and IT. The main objective is to define business needs, identifying potential improvements, and translating these elements into detailed technical requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare Functional Requirements Documentation for different projects, using techniques such as interviews, surveys, workshops, and document analysis to ensure all requirements are clearly documented and validated with stakeholders to avoid any misunderstandings.
o Business Requirements Document (BRD), high-level documentation that outlines the business needs, goals, and objectives for a project.
o Software Requirements Specification (SRS), detailed document that specifies the functional and non-functional requirements for a software project.
o Functional Requirements Specification (FRS), to defines the specific features and functions of a software system in detail.
Translate business requirements requested by the sales team and customer contracts into valuable information to be used by IT, to build, enhance, and improve performance to the company’s tech platforms.
Use tools for project management (like JIRA or Trello), data analysis (like SQL or Excel), process modeling (like Visio), or communication (like Slack or Microsoft Teams).
