Mobile Video Guard is Hiring a Build Shop Technician Near Bowie, MD

The Build Shop Technician I is responsible for building and repairing camera units and battery back-ups, assisting with in-house shipping and receiving, and maintaining camera build shop organization and cleanliness. The Build Shop Technician I will ensure accuracy with closing work tickets, comply with all safety and quality control procedures, and provide excellent customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Build Shop team leadership with all assigned tasks.
Complete and submit assigned work tickets accurately and timely. The submitted work tickets should include detailed and grammatically correct notes.
Build and/or repair camera and battery backups as assigned and according to quality controls. Clean production of build units by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Conduct quality control processes on all built camera and battery back-up units
Have a proficient understanding of how each component works and how to troubleshoot any issues with the battery box/camera box
Create specific components of the camera or battery boxes and assembly units
Maintain a high level of attention to detail to reduce manufacturing defects
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the camera and battery back-up online systems and dashboards for testing and quality control.
Maintain build shop tools and work area organization to ensure cleanliness and safety.
Assist with the maintenance, cleanliness and organization of the shop space including the battery room.
Organize and maintain camera/battery inventory.
Deliver excellent customer service and teamwork in all aspects of daily work.
Assist with field operations as required. If assigned to go on job site, maintain compliance for site entry including drug screening, PPE, OSHA certification, First Aid certification, and any other site-specific requirements.
Deliver excellent customer service and teamwork in all aspects of daily work.
Deliver periodic field training to other team members as requested.
Ensure that the company’s safety program is always enforced at a zero-tolerance on the project site.
Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent.
Maintains a valid driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Basic understanding of electricity, low voltage, battery, solar, and related programming.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Suites and Google Suites.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Continuously seeking process improvement.
Basic math skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
