The Service Writer position assists the Service Manager with all Service Department operations. To perform the essential duties of this position a person must be able to multitask, think quickly and make decisions on the fly, in addition the service writer must be able to multitask.
What you get to accomplish:
- Answering service calls
- Writing customer work orders
- Assist Service Manager with ordering parts to complete service & sales work orders
- Receiving parts and entering them into stock
- Billing work and creating invoices for Service & Sales
- Checking in new and used vehicles and assigning them stock numbers
- Assist Service Manager with maintaining the lot for Sales inventory list
- Assist Service Manager with following vehicles through to their completion
- Handle NMEDA paperwork to ensure compliance
- Assist with Parts inventory
What you should possess:
- 1-2 years related Service Writer experience
- Automotive experience preferred
