Required Skills, Experience & Education:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent, and 5-7 years marketing/sales/service/supervisory experience in the health insurance industry with a focus on hospital clientele.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong statistical, analytical, problem solving, organizational, and detail orientation skills.
• Strong project management and organization skills. 
• Strong creativity and vision with ability to focus efforts on meeting a goal, mission or objective.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
• Strong service and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Medical, Dental, Vision, and Pharmacy insurance business as it relates to processing of claims, handling of billings, customer service, and related information.
• Maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image.
• Ability to work well under pressure; work with frequent interruptions, and shifting priorities.
• Computer proficiency preferably with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle a push cart/hand truck and be able to lift boxes up to 40 lbs in and out of a car trunk.

Primary Functions:

• Leads and manages day to day team dedicated to hospital account management. 
• Leads project management on special projects as assigned.
• Supports and assists other sales/service leaders.
• Provides support in reviewing/editing contractual changes, performance guarantees, etc for our hospital business.
• Coaches and motivates staff to provide exceptional service to hospital clients (internal and external).
• Leads projects and facilitate communication between internal departments (and external clients) to ensure productivity standards are exceeded and deadlines are met. 
• Oversees transition and implementation process for new and renewing business. 
• Provides management support in the absence of other sales & service leadership team. Meets with producers/consultants, business partners, account executives, and sales representative on difficult renewals, assist with prospective account sales and new group transitions.
• Works with the sales & service management team to set sales and retention objectives and develop an annual sales and service plans to meet those objectives.
• Works with the sales & service management team to develop an annual budget. Plan for and use the resources within the calendar year to support the budget.
• Responsible for collaboration and implementation with marketing on client specific literature and materials.
• Provides support to Marketing & Informatics team as needed to integrate new products, business partnerships and ancillary products into Moda’s business portfolio. Integration to include implementation and communication.
• Represents the Sales & Service department on internal and external committees as assigned.
• Services large accounts as assigned.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
