Location: Indianapolis, INPay Range: $85,000 to $100,000OverviewCome grow with us by joining our team as a Manager, Rental Fleet Maintenance! In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles. A key aspect of this role is to build out and manage a robust vendor network to ensure our vehicles are maintained at the highest standards and downtime is minimized. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a strategic mindset to develop and sustain vendor relationships that align with our operational goals.

ResponsibilitiesBelow is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
  • Vendor Network Development:
    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new maintenance and repair vendors.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
    • Negotiate service agreements, pricing, and terms with vendors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
    • Develop scalable means to approve or decline large quantities of maintenance requests submitted both internally and externally.
    • Continuously assess vendor performance through regular reviews and feedback.
  • Fleet Maintenance Coordination:
    • Approve or decline routine maintenance and emergency repairs for fleet vehicles.
    • Monitor vehicle performance and maintenance history to predict and prevent potential issues.
    • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and expenses.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to reduce vehicle downtime.
    • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on fleet maintenance activities, costs, and vendor performance.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on fleet maintenance strategies.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 7 years of experience in fleet maintenance coordination or a related role.
  • Proven experience in building and managing vendor networks.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving KPI targets and managing client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
