About the Role:

Our Public Sector Sales Specialist is a unique position offering a gold mine of opportunity. As a part of our Public Sector Bus Sales Team, you’ll be entering a deeply established territory with opportunity for growth as well as long-standing contracts to maintain. You will be responsible for selling Buses and Commercial Vehicles to government entities and municipalities, establishing new business while growing and maintaining existing contracts. We expect to offer a competitive base salary starting at $80,000 in addition to uncapped sales commission. Average OTE within two years fall between $150,000-200,000 annually. To succeed in this role, the right fit will have a strong understanding of Public Sector Sales and be able to sell at the highest caliber while maintaining a robust book of business. A strong understanding of Fleet Sales and/or Fleet Operations is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Government Solutions Consulting:

  • Develop and implement strategic consulting plans for government entities in the assigned territory.
  • Engage with public sector clients, offering expert guidance on commercial vehicle solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to understand governmental requirements and preferences.
  • Collaborate with the RVP of Public Sector Sales for strategic promotional insights.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring exceptional advisory services
  • Be the primary consultant for clients within the government territory, delivering outstanding insights.
  • Identify opportunities for value-added services to enhance client outcomes.

Performance Advisory and Reporting:

  • Provide strategic advice, contributing to clients' goals and objectives.
  • Track and measure the impact of advisory services, maintaining a record of successful outcomes.
  • Prepare insightful reports, forecasts, and market analysis for clients and internal stakeholders.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • 3 years of proven experience in consultative services, B2B sales and contract management- preferably in the commercial vehicle industry and/or public sector.
  • Entrepreneurial drive with a desire to contribute to client success.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about commercial vehicles and industry trends.
  • Experience in consulting within public sectors is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
