Modern Group is Hiring a Rental Manager Near Hasbrouck Heights, NJ

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct the daily responsibilities of the Rental Department, including but not limited to.
    • Answer Customer Rental Requests
    • Opening and closing of rental contracts
    • Coordinating the transportation of rental equipment with the Logistics Department
    • Billing
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of all rental equipment, including forklifts, batteries, chargers, attachments.
  • Maintain positive Rental Department visibility in rental hub locations and foster relationships with Branch Managers.
  • Manage the repair and cost control of Rental Department equipment fleet
  • Develop and maintain reporting which tracks model specific rental trends by location and modify branch stock to maximize utilization.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to increase rental business
  • Work with Capital and Aftermarket Sales Representatives to provide rental department support with new account accusation and customer retention.
  • Assist with reviewing fleet utilization and yield to develop strategy for increasing rental revenue
  • Analyze the rental rates of competitors and compare it to Modern to establish competitive published and effective rates.
  • Assist with annual budget process.
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining a processes for a fleet rotation strategy
  • Coordinate with Sales and Service Departments for the provision of loaner equipment.
  • Train rental personnel to develop rental business acumen and equipment knowledge.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
