Description This position is to focus on new business for Modern Healthcare. To serve as a business partner to advertisers and potential advertisers in order to devise, plan and execute all phases of an advertising program for clients. Responsibilities: This position is the ideal next step for the self-motivated and driven sales professional who loves customized selling based on value and to represent an established, respected yet evolving brand in the healthcare industry. This is a fast-moving role within the competitive healthcare media field. Our solutions include print, online, custom content and event sponsorships. This position will generate advertising revenue via new business of advertisers with a strong focus on digital solutions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Consistently achieve sales quotas and goals. Build and maintain strong client relationships and establish a strong understanding of client goals and knowledge of their products and services to help clients achieve their marketing and advertising objectives. Travel for Face-to-face face meetings as well as video, phone calls, and emails (Goal of 25 meetings per month). Manage communication with prospects and clients in an efficient manner through the utilization of Salesforce database. Educate marketing decision makers and influencers on the value of Modern Healthcare and the full suite of product offerings. Be able to communicate the features, but more importantly, the benefits of Modern Healthcare’s solutions to clients and prospects. Conduct meetings to develop an understanding of client needs and how the different Modern Healthcare products can meet these needs. Understand trends and issues affecting healthcare organizations. Read Modern Healthcare and related publications and newsletters daily and visit both websites on a regular basis to stay on top of the news and happenings in healthcare. Maintain strong market share and awareness/understanding of competitors, different competitive tracking tools and research. Be familiar with competitive publications and BPA statements with an ability to convey Modern Healthcare’s competitive edge and value propositions. Be able to sell by using audience research to clients and prospects. Command strong knowledge of all promotional and marketing material and how to best use the information. Display the attributes necessary to promote a positive and professional environment at Modern Healthcare including (but not limited to): Leadership ability Collaboration Teamwork Professionalism Positive attitude Honesty Display respect Creativity Persistence QUALIFICATIONS : Three to five years’ experience in marketing, advertising and/or sales. Creative ability and imagination. Strong listening skills. Excellent communication and sales skills. Ability to achieve all sales goals through a focused and strategic approach to sales Detail-orientated with the ability to manage all of the details of online campaigns accurately. Ability to move from concepts to the concrete expression of ideas. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Motivation. Ability to travel and attend necessary events. Preferences: Experience selling media Custom content solutions background Salesforce and Excel experience Knowledge of healthcare industry is a plus This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000-$90,000, in addition to being eligible for a sales commission plan. The final salary offering will take into account a wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap.
