Mohawk Valley Health Systems is Hiring an Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider Near Utica, NY

Job SummaryMohawk Valley Health System is dedicated to supporting our Physicians and Practitioners, enabling them to provide excellence in healthcare to our communities. We are seeking licensed Physician Assistant/Nurse practitioners to join our team at MVHS Orthopedics. These are full time office positions to work with our current team of 4 orthopedic surgeons and 4 mid level providers. Work in a 1:1 collaboration with a Physician in the OR and Clinic throughout the week. Responsibilities include office evaluations of patients, peri/post op management, hospital rounds, surgical first assist, and call coverage. The PA/NP will also assist in casting, splinting, fracture and joint reductions, injections, etc. One full-time position in the orthopedic trauma division and Two full-time positions in the orthopedic sports division. See a wide variety of patients from pediatrics to adults. Experienced candidates as well as new graduates will be considered.

Education/Experience RequirementsREQUIRED:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program OR certification from an accredited NP program OR completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
  • Ability to meet and maintain credentialing requirements and hospital privileges
Licensure/Certification RequirementsREQUIRED:
  • Current NYS Nurse Practitioner licenses OR Current NYS license as a Physician Assistant with prescription privileges.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS certifications.
PREFERRED:
  • Active ANCC certification in relevant specialty
