Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register or POS system
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure they are not intoxicated or disruptive
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with food preparation and help serve food if needed
- Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in the food service industry preferred
- Knowledge of brewing techniques, drink recipes, and mixology is a plus
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and ability to operate a cash register or POS system
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy items (such as kegs)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
