MoldTecs is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Buyer to join our team. As a Project Buyer, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities for specific automotive projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality components and materials while maintaining cost-efficiency and adherence to project timelines. Your role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery criteria. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with project goals.
2. Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project requirements, ensuring optimal sourcing solutions and cost-effectiveness.
3. Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions while maintaining quality and delivery expectations.
4. Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate closely with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of purchased components into project timelines and manufacturing schedules.
5. Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks related to supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, or quality issues. Develop and implement mitigation plans to minimize impact on project deliverables.
6. Cost Management: Monitor and control project procurement budgets. Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
7. Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and timelines. Ensure procurement activities support project milestones and overall objectives.
8. Quality Assurance: Ensure purchased components meet quality standards and specifications. Implement quality control measures and collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues promptly.
9. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation. Generate reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and other relevant metrics.
10. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process. Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and efficiency gains.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Buyer or in a similar procurement role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of automotive components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CIPS 4S/HANA) is a plus.
