Description

The Laboratory Support Technician is responsible for the organization and intake of samples for laboratory testing. This position will also be responsible for supporting Sales Representatives in all aspects of client retention

Essential Functions:

• Organize the intake and logistics of incoming samples to ensure the highest level of specimen processing and accuracy to meet turnaround time
• Coordinate with the team ensure all laboratory functions are completed in a timely manner
• Monitor accessioning of clinical samples in the laboratory information management system following SOPs
• Manage any discrepancies in clinical samples
• Act as a scientific liaison between clients and laboratory staff
• Assist with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, and other queries
• Manage account supply needs
• Perform additional clerical and other duties as directed

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to manage change
• Motivated, organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a busy office environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Scientific-based Bachelor's Degree required
