We’re Talent Brewers - we believe in our brands and our people; we believe that a truly inspiring and diverse place to work is a must. We want you to join our team of passionate self-starters who believe the world is full of untapped opportunities. So, if you get fired up about making a real difference as part of a winning team like we do, we want to hear from you.

The Headlines:

This new role develops and executes the Distributor Network Development (DND) plan to make Molson Coors the best strategic partner by bringing business development tools, in-market and virtual consulting services and commercially-relevant best operating practices (including in distributor-to-retailer ecommerce) to the Molson Coors distributor network, all with a view to embracing our network as a competitive advantage and making our distributors more outstanding.

This position also administers and continually improves the Distributor Performance Indicators (DPIs), executes and sets the rules for the annual President’s Award program and leads distributor-relevant analytics work for use by senior Molson Coors sales and Molson Coors distributor leaders.

The role will be responsible for extending current Distributor Network Development (DND) operational and analytical strategy and programming to wine, spirits and non-alcohol products.

This role reports to the Vice President, Distributor Network Development (DND) and will manage several DND team members in operations, business development and analytics functions.

The Responsibilities:

  • Scale distributor-facing programs that DND and Commercial Center of Excellence (CCOE) have created (e.g. Distributor Portfolio Optimization, Transition Integration Program, Category Principles for Independents) to the entire Molson Coors distributor network, linking them to the Molson Coors Advantage and Purpose Drives Purchase, and gain additional share of mind with key distributor leaders and incubate then scale new programs where appropriate
  • Leverage historical success from DND in-market consulting services to deploy DND resources to distributor markets and operations that most need them; this could include combining the Sales Improvement and Molson Coors Consulting Services programs
  • Transform the Beer Distributor Standards from a compliance document into a commercially minded series of best operating practices
  • Collaborate with Emerging Growth teams to develop Non-Alcohol, Wine and Spirits Distributor Standards in a similar vein
  • Work across sales functions to develop a fulsome strategy for the burgeoning area of distributor-retailer ecommerce, identifying the key proprietary and third-party players and setting a course for Molson Coors to communicate a clear point of view on the benefits, potential pitfalls and best ways to execute in this space
  • Develop relationships and work with large Molson Coors distributors that engage in B2B ecommerce across a variety of platforms
  • Reflect the key tenets of the strategy as best commercial practices in the revamped Distributor Standards
  • Supply the analytics that drive the conditions of consent in distributor transaction appointment letters, track post-closing purchaser performance and identify the right focus areas to grow the Molson Coors business when distributor transactions occur
  • Supply the analytics that form the backbone of the New Brand Proposal Process for unconsolidated markets
  • Ensure that the Distributor Performance Indicators reflect Molson Coors’ core sales strategies and update the DPIs in conjunction with sales leaders each year as appropriate
  • Administer DPI reporting on time and accurately; explore the migration of DPIs to BeerMate via a Tableau front-end
  • Create and communicate to the sales organization commercially beneficial tools that use DPIs to drive incremental sales and profitability for local Molson Coors sales teams and distributors alike
  • Run the annual President’s Award program, revisiting rules and structure each year to recognize the very best Molson Coors distributors
  • Incorporate Emerging Growth focus areas into transaction appointment letters, DPIs and the President’s Award where appropriate

The Other Qualifications:

  • You have ten years of business experience in areas that require knowledge of business operations and analytics
  • You have a Bachelors degree in operations, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics or similar
  • You have experience working at a beer distributor or closely with beer distributors-preferred
  • You demonstrate experience analyzing data, forming insights, implications and recommendations and translating into persuasive presentations suitable for senior management
  • You have a strong familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint and key Molson Coors reporting tools
  • You have a history of successfully managing teams on matters both strategic and tactical
  • You demonstrate self-confidence and credibility with senior management
  • You approach work with a customer/client-first mentality
  • You confidentially manage information that is sensitive and sometimes proprietary
  • You can use sound judgment and operate independently
  • You have experience developing and/or scaling far-reaching and impactful business initiatives that require input and alignment from a diverse group of stakeholders

Work Perks You Need to Know About:

  • As the world’s family brewer, we have the scale to make big things happen and still get to know colleagues on a first name basis across the globe
  • We play our part to make a difference – from charitable donations to hitting the streets together to build parks – giving back to the community is part of our culture and who we are.
  • Flexible work programs that support work life balance all year
  • You can become a Certified Beer Enthusiast through in-house training that includes everything from brewing techniques to beer tasting and food pairings
  • Access to cool brand clothing and swag, top events, and Employee Resource Groups
  • Participation in our Total Rewards program with a competitive base salary, incentive plans, parental leave, health, dental, 401k, generous paid time off plans, and of course free beer!
