Develop novel biochemical and biophysical assays to enable drug discovery efforts on novel enzyme targets
Utilize these assays to characterize and validate small molecule modulators from high-throughput screening efforts
Explore novel assay technologies to supplement our drug discovery capabilities
Work in a cross-functional environment to support medicinal chemistry programs and novel platform targets
Analyze and interpret decision-making data for drug discovery programs and effectively communicate these results to a broader audience
Collaborate with and learn from proven drug discovery experts in protein chemistry, structural biology, chemistry, biochemistry and biophysics
About you
You have a BS/MS in biochemistry, biophysics or related field and 2-5 years relevant professional experience
You have a strong track record of contributing to drug discovery projects using biochemistry and/or biophysics
You are skilled in biochemical or biophysical assay development, including experience with TR-FRET, fluorescence polarization, luminescence, MST, SPR, DSF, or ITC techniques
You have experience in high-throughput small molecule screening and validation of chemical matter from these screening campaigns
You have previously worked with CROs to outsource biochemical assays, screen novel targets, and generate weekly data for medicinal chemistry programs
You have experience or interest in mechanistic enzymology and the ability to characterize the mechanism of enzyme modulators
You would consider yourself a team player who listens effectively, invites feedback and participates in active discussion
